I always had a hard time with school growing up, especially with math and science. I had tutors from the time I was in first grade straight through my senior year of high school so believe me when I say I know the frustrations you and your child are feeling. I have a special knack for simplifying concepts and hopefully making them fun. Even if it was just basic homework assignments, I never wanted to study with my mom but with babysitters and tutors it was somehow easier. I also have experience with children that have special needs as well as typically developing children that have a delay either cognitively or physically. Have a shy preschooler or toddler that doesn't like to talk? ASL can help, I have taught a 6 month delayed 14-month-old girl, placing her at 10 months, ASL when her only words were mama and dada. Now at almost 3 she has just started talking but now every word she says she also makes the sign for.
