As someone who grew up with ADHD, I am passionate about being understanding and patient and tailoring my approach to the child's individual needs. I started working in childcare during college for a website called sitting Made Simple in Nashville TN. After that I worked for a year as a climbing instructor at a climbing gym and then as a summer camp counslor. One of my supervisors at the camp recommended care . com because she noticed that I was very good working with kids one on one and with kids with physical disability/special needs as well. I am definitely more of the empathetic connection based discipline style. I am more than comfortable with maintaining boundaries but I always prioritize kindness and connection.
