A major reason I majored in Psychology was to be able to assist those who didn't possess the cognitive abilities of an everyday individual. It is our duty to not only assist them but to nurture them and make them feel cared for. I've worked with age groups 12-33-year-olds ranging from children on the Spectrum to other cognitive impairments.
