My oldest child was born 15 years ago, premature and with a birth defect. I learned how to care for a medically fragile child, and also learned a lot about autism and how best to support autistic people. As a young adult, I spent several years caring for my grandpa with diabetes, and elderly neighbor who needed assistance with meal prep and taking meds. I am disabled myself, and find working part time gives me enough income and time to keep my care giving strong, without burning out. The best professionals my family has worked with are people who have personal experience with similar issues. I absolutely love supporting disabled people with whatever they need assistance with. I have a year of experience supporting a non-verbal autistic young person. I am able to perform light housekeeping and just about any tasks you need assistance with. I'm excellent with IEPs and medical advocacy, my bio degree comes in handy. My hobbies are birding and playing ukulele.
