I have formal training both as a medical assistant and LPN. I have over 7 years of professional experience as an aide to various clients and levels of care. I've worked with developmental disabilities including Down's syndrome Cerebral Palsy Autism and Joubert Syndrome, various forms of cancer, hydrocephalus, dementia, visual and hearing impaired, as well as various degrees of mobility limitations ranging from only needing supervision and mild assistance to full on paralysis. I currently care for 2 families with cerebral palsy and muscular dystrophy part time. I have occasional weeks where I am needed full time but those are always scheduled far enough in advance to make adjustments to fit everyone. Flexibility is needed so I can be there for everyone but I do have the time to take on another family a few hours per week. I am also available for overnights when needed.
