Hi, my name is Tammy and I'd like to share some of my experiences with you. I spent five years working at Fairview Developmental Center in Costa Mesa California. The State run facility at that time housed over 2, 000 clients. I've dealt with many different kinds of developmentally challenged clients. Some have been psychically disabled and others have had behavioral issues. I assisted the teachers in a classroom setting by working with our students goals and objectives. We would also do monthly field trips like bowling, out to restaurants, the fair, movies, etc. This was one of the most rewarding jobs I've ever had the privilege of doing.
