About Nina

I have spent the past year working as an applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapist for preschool aged children with autism. I have worked one-on-one with children ages 2-6 requiring varying degrees of support, both verbal and non-verbal. I am trained in teaching methods that extend beyond the ABA setting, including using positive reinforcement to encourage good behaviors. I also have experience in assessing, deescalating, and preventing certain problem behaviors. I love to play and keep things fun while taking advantage of teachable moments along the way. My background in ABA and speech make me particularly well suited to children developing speech. I understand the importance of creating a language rich environment for growing brains. In addition to my experience with young children, I have lived my whole life with a brother with autism. I know what it looks like to grow up in a world like ours with a brain like his. It can be really hard and I want to help.
