Hi my name is Nina! I am a sophomore at American University majoring in Neuroscience and Psychology. I am more introverted and one of my favorite challenges is turning knowledge to wisdom. I can provide tutoring for all math and English levels, and I have a 3. 6 GPA. I grew up in a traditional Korean family where my dad was head of household so my default is all things domestic work including laundry, cleaning, cooking, and caring for others. I've learned that communicating my feelings in a positive and insightful way is what helps create a sense of trust, safety, and confidence in others. Nina is a student in my mentorship and leadership development program at American University. I serve in a mentorship capacity as well as an Instructor for a course that she has taken on exploring your passions and interests (your “why”), developing an intentional and thoughtful approach to career exploration and the honing the mindset necessary to overcome setbacks and see them as opportunities. Nina opted into the experience and has made a significant commitment inside and outside of the classroom to not only excel but show up for peers. She is well respected for her thoughtful engagement in the classroom. She is personable, prompt and well organized. I would highly recommend her based on her poise, demeanor, personal accountability and maturity.
