Hello! My name is Nikki and I'm currently pursuing a degree in Psychology at UH Manoa. I'm currently a Registered Behavioral Technician where I typically help children with autism or other developmental disabilities. However, I do have experience in babysitting neurotypical kids (about 7 years) and nieces and nephews (also neurotypical). I try to adjust my style of care depending on the child's needs and to meet them where they're at, while providing a safe and fun environment. My personal hobbies include art, dance, and video games so if your child enjoys that, we will get along! I've hired Nikki as a caregiver for my 6-year-old son on a couple of occasions. The first time was in December 2024 and the second time was in January 2025. My son is in special education, so I'm glad that she has a background working with kids like him. Anyway, I had a dentist appointment in Moiliili late one afternoon and asked if she could tend to my son while I was there. I suggested that they spend the time walking around Ala Moana Beach Park, which worked out fine. He has mentioned "Miss Nikki" a few times afterward, which tells me that they had a nice time. She has the kinds of things I like to see: professionalism and care for kids. I'd definitely hire her again.
