About Niki

I would describe my personality as calm, nurturing, and intelligent. I love teaching and watching children's accomplishments as they grow. I'm looking for a job that is ideally with younger children who love learning and need a reliable, calm, and nurturing caregiver. I am a certified elementary/reading/early childhood teacher. I have worked as a full time preschool and elementary teacher, a reading and math tutor, and as a long-term substitute teacher. I raised very high energy identical twin girls from preemies to adulthood. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my husband, dogs, and college age twins. We enjoy going to the beach and visiting museums. I love reading and listening to audiobooks. One thing you should know about me is that I value a kind and nurturing environment with an emphasis on learning new things. My skills include patience with young children, planning age appropriate/developmentally appropriate activities, and organization.
