About Nikeya

Experienced early learning childcare professional with a background in Montessori self-directed learning. I have obtained a bachelor's degree in social work and currently pursuing a second degree in Nursing. I have a passion for helping children grow through creative play and spending time in nature. I believe that children are the most important thing and it is essential to provide them with a nurturing environment as well as surrounding them with positive people. I have experience with children ranging from 18mo-12yr olds and can balance the attention between siblings. I am comfortable with date nights, meal prep, assisting in various tasks, problem solving techniques, homework help, etc. and can quickly adapt to different parenting styles. I enjoy the outdoors, reading, games, cooking, museums, yoga, and arts & crafts. I also understand there is a balance between stepping in and allowing a child to figure something out on their own.
