My name is Nicole and I am a 21-year-old junior in college currently working towards a degree in Sociology: Human Services. I love children and I have always loved working with them. I was a teacher at a daycare for 2 years, and have gained experience working with children of various different ages because of this. I love helping a child highlight those key developmental milestones that encourage them to be the best version of themselves, and as someone who still looks up to those who cared for me when I was younger, I truly believe that the impact that a caregiver can make on a child is long lasting and meaningful and I strive to be a positive role model for the children I care for everyday. I have been caring for 3 children for the past school year, and one of the kids I care for has Down syndrome. Caring for him has really had such a long lasting impact on me, and even though he is nonverbal he teaches me something new everyday. I am experienced with children with special needs.
