I currently work for company in WI where I work for a program deemed as Community Access. I work with a variety of adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Most of these individuals are transferring from the sheltered workshop into community employment. I assist with job coaching at volunteer sites in order to gain work experience, including appropriate soft skills and behavioral management. I find this work very important and fulfilling, as I thrive off of watching those struggling from adversity conquer their goals, whilst gaining confidence and respect within their community. This population is a delight to work with and I have increased confidence throughout my career path because of them and the work.
