Nicky came into our home during the most difficult time in our life. We hired her during the pandemic to be a home school teacher while we both worked full time for our 1st grader with autism who was not able to receive any therapy during the pandemic due to severe zoom anxiety. She connected with our daughter right away. Nicky was able to effectively communicate with us and her teacher to make sure that she got the support that she needed and kept up with all of her school work. On top of that, she was able to follow guidelines to safely go on outings every single day: going on hikes, riding her bike, taking her to the zoo when it opened, going to parks that weren't crowded... She gave our daughter the support that she needed and allowed her to also play outside and be a kid. We couldn't have made it through the pandemic without her, and our child is now able to read and is thriving in most subjects in school! We are all sad that our time is coming to an end!
