One year ago, Nicky came into our lives to nanny our son, E. She was a blessing because we had been unable to find a preschool/daycare that would be able to meet the needs of our high energy, brilliant, fun loving, kid, who is also very strong willed and displays many classic ASD challenges (though he is supremely verbal). Nicky has cared for my son with all of the love and joy I could hope for. (And now I know her son who is so kind and amazing - she is a great mom as well.) Nicky is an exceptionally bright, self-made woman who brings goodness, joy, and energy wherever she goes. And she sees all children as being their own individual miracle - and can adjust and work with kids and their parents on behavior/emotional challenges. Nicky has truly become part of our family. My physically disabled mother lives with us and Nicky has built a bond with her and cared for her as well as E., not because we asked, but because she loves my mom and wanted to help our whole family. Nicky has helped us be better parents and I have seen E. thrive. If you want a nanny who brings a lot of child care experience and early learning/ child behavior knowledge, and if your child will thrive with lots of outdoor play and activities and warmth and energy, then you would be blessed to have Nicky as your child's caregiver. (Or a senior caregiver).
