I was a teacher's aide at ucpn for one year and I help a large population of developmentally disabled children and/or adults function and learn. It was a great experience in which I learned a lot and couldn't help but grow fond of the consumers there. When a child would pick up a positive behavior or be able to communicate through a device, it would almost bring tears to my eyes. I can say I've helped children become who they need to be in life to feel happy.
