I worked for 10 years as a nanny/sitter before becoming a mom. I've been a mother for 12 years. I volunteered watching children while serving in my church's Children's Ministry. I spent over 150 hours observing in Chicago Public Schools while in my graduate studies at Roosevelt University. As a nanny, I worked with all different types of children: twins, adopted or foster children, special needs, infants and toddlers, cognitive delayed children, and children with emotional/behavioral issues. I've been a mom for 12 years. That's the greatest experience I have. I've helped my children through various therapies and challenges. In these last 12 years, I've exchanged care with other moms and watched my nephews for full days here and there.
