About Nicole

Hello! I'm a 24-year-old Covid-conscious caregiver who has been working with children since I was 14. I started as a babysitter, then worked at UCB summer camp for 5 years, after which I started my degree in Psychology with a minor in Applied Developmental Psychology at UCLA. I began working in the ECE program at UCLA as an intern for two years. Since the pandemic I have worked full-time as a Pod teacher with six children (aged 5-7) from various families and helped them complete their school work and supplemental work while creating a fun and creative environment to promote their social development. This past year and a half I have been working as an Infant teacher at a RIE inspired preschool in the Fruitvale area, working primarily with 4 month to 14-month-olds, but floating in a classroom for children 14-24 months old. Working with young children is my passion! I am energetic and thoughtful in my teaching, utilizing a combination of RIE, Montessori and Reggio Emilia philosophies.
