I believe that everyone in our society deserves an opportunity for a superior quality of life. When I became a special education teacher, I discovered I had the ability to help people move forward. I have helped young children learn to communicate, express their needs and participate fully in their school environment. Recently, I have worked with adults 20-35, teaching them video production and photography skills, while assisting them in making a documentary film that will foster a more inclusive community. Currently, I work with 3 young men, teaching them communication skills, job/career skills, as well as involvement in community affairs, exploration of the natural environment (photography), and just having a lot of fun. I do this work because I see the benefit that my experience and education brings to people who are most in need.
