Hi, I'm Neelia. I am currently studying at UNCW School of Nursing. I am on track to graduate next year and hope to become a pediatric nurse after getting my BSN. I am also first aid, and CPR certified and have experience in the hospital setting. I have been working as a caregiver for over 6 years now, and I love it. I have worked with kids of all ages and with special needs, and I would love to continue now over the summer. Neelia has been watching our 7 y/o son for almost a year now, and she is simply the best. Our son has non-verbal autism, so it can take a bit more searching to find the right person to care for him. Neelia is that person. She has been everything we hoped for in a caregiver for him and more. She is truly amazing with our son and has built such a rapport with him - and our 2 y/o daughter too. I know it's always going to be a good day when she's around. She will read the same books over and over when that's what he wants to do. She'll push through tough transitions with him so that she can take him to do fun activities she knows he'll like. She is playful, energetic, and funny and brings out the silly side of him as well. Neelia is hard-working, reliable, responsible, upbeat, communicative, and above all, her heart is in the right place. She truly cares for our kids, and as cliche as this sounds, she feels like a part of our family. Anyone would be lucky to have her join theirs too.
