For many years I have served in the children's ministry at church, which has given me a great deal of experience teaching and caring for children of different ages and personalities. Our children's pastor would be happy to give a reference. I am a very good listener and am sensitive to a child's feelings and perspective on life. I love to learn with them whatever interests them. I am in excellent health. Friends would describe me as patient, conscientious and reliable. I am recently retired and now have time to assist with children. I have a fair amount of experience with basketball and especially tennis so could assist a child with those sports if desired. I am CPR and first aid certified. I am a father of two grown children (boy and girl) and grandfather of three. My daughter, her husband and three children live out of state and I miss them quite a lot, so I would like to help young parents in this area with the care of their children.

Neal has cared for our 5 year-old son since February 2024 and has been very reliable. He communicates with us frequently to let us know how things are going. Our son really enjoys the time he spends with Neal whether it is going to the park or playing indoors.
