About Nava

My experience with children is vast, it started when I was a child myself volunteering with life skills students. I was a mental health therapist for The Center for Autism I developed treatment plans for children ages 2-5. I was a camp counselor for 4 years teaching dance and arts and crafts with kids 5-12. I've worked in schools as a therapeutic counselor and a City Year corps member with kids 5-16 utilizing conflict resolution skills as well as tutoring at my after school homework club. I even worked with young adults (17-21)at Lincoln University . I have my degree in Clinical Psychology so I am very aware of how healthy development can mold a child's life. I use my knowledge of adolescents and observations to create a great atmosphere. I'm an outgoing creative, which I believe helps when working with children. I can be just as silly as them, but also establish a respectful relationship where my role is never misconstrued. I understand how precious parenthood is and the well being of your child is priority. I've had the pleasure of working with children and their parents for more than 5 years, and I look forward to continuing to establish great relationships with parents and kids.
