A teacher with many hats, I have loved to explore alternative ways of connecting with kids. In the past, it was traditional schools but now it is in the outdoor classroom with horses as the lead teachers. When I worked at Evergreen Community Charter and ICI Charter as an exceptional children's assistant, I received training in ABA, Orton-Billingham, and other professional development workshops. I was a horse wrangler for SOAR for 5 summers for kids with learning differences. I have directed the children's horse program for Liminal Equus, where practiced the foundations of horsemanship, including self-awareness, calm energy and focus. I am looking to help on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays, any weekday evening and/or weekend evening. I would love to help for date nights, etc. for sure! I have solid references upon request!

We hired Natalie to look after our autistic son while we were in town for Thanksgiving. She was extremely thoughtful, planning out her days with our son and consulting with us on her planned activities. She was also clearly listening when we gave her instructions and some warnings about how to work with our son in public, and she was ready to go when the predicted issues arose (because...autism!). We trusted her entirely with our son's well being and look forward to hiring her again next time we are in Asheville.
