One of my deepest passions, since I was young, probably five or six, had been befriending and helping special needs kids. The idea of making even the smallest part of their day more manageable, brings me so much joy. I understand that the work itself can be hard and frustrating but in the end these kids don't end up getting the socialization and love that they deserve and I want to be there for that.
