Hi wonderful parents! My name is Naraya and I am a current student at NOVA. I am also a young mother to a beautiful 4 1/2 boy. All my life I have been around children, you see my mother was a home child care provider for 15 years. unfortunately my mother past away when I was 15 and ever since I wanted to live in her footsteps. The reason I love working with children, is not simply because I love them, even though I really do, but is because they inspire me, they teach me and they are so bright. I have worked in some centers, and learned so much from each, especially the don't do's. I have learned to respect children as I want to be respected. Children are angels to me. I want to respect and treat them as humans. Every time I go to class I learn so much about them and grow a even bigger passion towards the way they learn. My biggest goal is to someday open up my own childcare center just as my mother, because not only she "watched kids" she was a major impact in their little lives and I wish to do the same. I was the Director at the school that she worked. She taught in the 2/3 year old classroom. She was very patient and nurturing with the children, dependable and punctual. She was a joy to work with and her smile would light up the room. The children loved her!
