I graduated from Simmons College in Boston with a BA. in Business MGMT(Dean's List). I worked for/with my Dad most of my adult life at his business (Minihane's Flower & Garden Shop) in Brighton, MA. I met a lot of older people there that I helped on a regular basis, including transportation, errands, cleaning, and personal care. I wasn't getting paid. I wanted to. When God asks you to do something, you don't hesitate. My Dad had dementia for 7 years. He died in January, 2023. I have learned about this disease & how to treat a person with it; with respect, patience, empathy & kindness. Also, I have experience with MS, ALS, and quadriplegic patients. Nancy is an amazing caregiver and human being! She has cared for my father with such love, responsibility, patience, understanding, and accompaniment. She is able to connect with his sense of humor, and understand him when he is acting up or frustrated. She has been a life-saver literally in taking him to doctors appointments, and helping him in his home. We consider Nancy like family and dad loves seeing her!
