Ever since I was in college I have had a passion for helping special needs children and their families. I got my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and started out with an emphasis on Special Education and took 9 hours of special ed classes before changing to an emphasis on Early Childhood Education. As a public school teacher, I worked with many special needs students. Since then I have had numerous opportunities to work with children with a wide variety of special needs. I am driven to meet each child where they are, to focus on his or her strengths, and to help each child grow into the best they can be.
