Finding the right caregiver for a loved one is one of the hardest things a family can go through, but from the moment Nana came into our lives in the summer of 2022, we knew we had found someone truly special. He cared for my father through every stage of his battle with Parkinson’s with a level of love, wisdom, and dedication that I can hardly put into words. Nana wasn’t just a caregiver—he was my dad’s biggest advocate. If my dad needed something to improve his quality of life, Nana spoke up and took action. He was always open and communicative, offering thoughtful advice and insights while ensuring we were all informed and involved. As my father’s needs grew, Nana never wavered. He made sure my dad felt heard, respected, and cared for in a way that let him live life on his own terms. They became best friends, and the kind of trust and love my dad had for him brings tears to my eyes just writing this. For our entire family, Nana was more than a caregiver—he was family. We trusted him completely, and his presence gave us peace of mind during an incredibly difficult time. He was calm, steady, and never let anything shake him. More than anything, he is simply a good human—one of the best I’ve ever met. There might be other great caregivers out there, but I can honestly say that no one could have been a better fit for my dad than Nana. He was a guardian angel, a miracle in our lives, and we will forever be grateful for the love and care he gave my father in his final years. If you’re looking for someone to care for a loved one, I can’t imagine a better person than Nana.
