About Nakia

Hi Families! I just moved back to the Tri-Cities after having lived in Seattle for the last 13 years. I have over 25 years of childcare experience with all ages. I am also a trained & certified postpartum doula. I come with not only knowledge, experience, warmth and compassion but also a sense of dedication. I believe that a Nanny's role is not just to care for her charges, but to work alongside their parents and teachers to foster a positive environment conducive to growth physically, mentally, and emotionally. I approach each family in my care with respect, dignity, and kindness. I always try to be proactive rather than reactive, anticipating the needs of my clients and helping them gain confidence and trust in themselves. Every family's needs are different, and it's my goal to make sure parents feel seen and heard, so they can thrive during the different stages of childhood. I have an abundance of empathy and patience, and try to find humor wherever I can.
