Hi Families! I just moved back to the Tri-Cities after having lived in Seattle for the last 13 years. I have over 25 years of childcare experience with all ages. I am also a trained & certified postpartum doula. I come with not only knowledge, experience, warmth and compassion but also a sense of dedication. I believe that a Nanny's role is not just to care for her charges, but to work alongside their parents and teachers to foster a positive environment conducive to growth physically, mentally, and emotionally. I approach each family in my care with respect, dignity, and kindness. I always try to be proactive rather than reactive, anticipating the needs of my clients and helping them gain confidence and trust in themselves. Every family's needs are different, and it's my goal to make sure parents feel seen and heard, so they can thrive during the different stages of childhood. We have been lucky enough to have Nakia as our amazing nanny for the last five years. She is moving back to her hometown, so we are sadly saying goodbye - but a new family will be the very lucky recipients of the most kind, caring, responsible, mature, genuine, trustworthy, punctual and exceptional person to be their nanny! Nakia connected deeply with both of our children. She is very patient, wise and sensitive and really understood how to earn both our kids’ trust. She is extremely skilled with understanding, navigating the needs of our children, and our trust in her is immaculate. Nakia is a great driver, she is good at keeping to (always shifting) schedules, remembering and ensuring that the small details happen, preparing lunches and snacks for school, and just is loved by all who meet her. Nakia is also fun and silly and is a breath of fresh air. We truly cannot recommend her enough - our loss is truly your immense gain! We will miss her so very much.
