As a child, I loved spending time with my grandmother because she was full of wisdom, told great stories, and loved having someone around to talk to. As I grew older and my grandmother grew frailer, I began to take care of her more by helping her get places, making sure she ate and took her medicine, and providing companionship. I truly believe that elderly people should be respected and held in high esteem because of their wisdom and knowledge and it makes me sad to see elderly people lonely and without help. Thus, I would love to provide companionship, help with daily tasks and simply be there as a kind presence and someone to talk to.
