About Myra

I have 30 years of nursing experience as an RN. I worked med/surg, psych, ICU, and was a correctional nurse at one of the state's prisons where I supervised a staff of six and provided medical care for 438 male inmates. My last 5 years of nursing I was a facility survey nurse for NC DHHS. My responsibilities were to inspect long term care facilities across the state for compliance to federal Medicare regulations. I did annual inspections, certified readiness for new facilities to open, and investigated complaints issued by family and patients. I have worked with dementia care patients.
