About Mya

My name is Mya, I'm 18 with a strong passion for helping children grow and develop. I have two years of experience caring for children of various ages. I've been the designated babysitter my entire life with family and friends, until I realized childcare was the career route I wanted to take. My calm and patient demeanor allows me to easily connect with children and create a safe and nurturing environment. I'm also very comfortable enforcing household rules and boundaries, ensuring the well-being of all the children in my care. When it comes to communication with parents, I believe in open and honest dialogue. I provide verbal updates at pickup and follow the parents' preferred method of communication for any issues that arise during the day. I'm always looking for ways to make learning enjoyable for the children in my care. It's important to me that they are getting the most out of this time in their life where their job is to play, learn, explore and develop.
