About Muryum

Hi there! My name is Muryum and I am a sophomore in college right now. I am currently working on getting my degree and live in Arlington, VA. I have worked in customer service/sales, run my own baking business, babysat, and done tutoring for 2 years. My approach is all about what the child needs; I craft my tutoring sessions around what exactly they need and how they will respond to the material best. I don't see tutoring as just helping them get homework done; it's about creating a fun environment and experience so that they truly enjoy learning and are exciting about our lessons together! In the past I've designed extra assignments to help with problem areas; multiplication themed board games, paint by numbers math practice, creative writing exercises (that I do with them!), fun history projects, poetry workshops, and science experiments we can do together to better understand the topic at hand (no mess, I promise!).
