About Moriah

Growing up as one of the youngest of 10 siblings instilled in me strong family values, as well as a deep respect for mothers, and people who care for children. Coming from that perspective, I consider the opportunities I have had to babysit and care for children in my community as a joy and a privilege. During high school, and Summers up until now, I would babysit children ages 5-12 from my church and within my neighborhood. This past Summer, I worked at Tilghman Resort in my hometown as an Activities Assistant. I did arts and crafts mostly out on the pool deck, karaoke, trivia games, story telling/mad libs, and lip sinking contests over a microphone. In addition to our daily activities, every Friday the staff put on a pirate and mermaid show in the pool. This was a great experience for me because I was able to hone my creativity, while learning how to coordinate and manage our weekly activities for as many as 35 children at a time, alongside at least four other Activities Assistants.
