Before I was registered as an independent provider, I looked after my 25-year-old sister with Down Syndrome, since about 6th grade. My parents had me cook meals, help with homework, and help her with anything she needed. I have also been involved in our local organization the Upside of Downs, since about 5 years old. At this organization, I helped to plan events for adults with Down Syndrome and come up with activities that would help them to live on their own or to become more independent. I have a lot of experience with all different disabilities and I am always willing to help anyone.
