About Monique

I currently work for a consulting company and recently my adventure buddy (nephew) moved, I find that I have a lot of spare time. I have nanny experience, caring for children 0-11 years old in private homes. As well as being an active aunt to nine nieces and nephews! My approach to childcare is providing a safe and stimulating environment, promoting children's physical, emotional, and intellectual development. I strongly believe communication is key; therefore, I keep parents regularly updated on their children's well-being. I am comfortable enforcing household rules and routines, ensuring that the children are aware of the expectations as well as feeling safe enough to ask why. (I find explaining and allowing them to question builds a healthy curiosity.) My skills include First Aid and CPR, I enjoy sharing my creativity through various activities such as arts and crafts, educational games, museums, and outdoor play.
