Monica was our amazing nanny for three years. She is incredibly caring, conscientious, and capable. Everything she did made our lives easier. She needed very little direction as she is highly seasoned. She made nutritious meals for our baby; she created and rigorously kept her on a solid schedule that enabled her to sleep well at night; and potty-trained her at 23 months. She also always kept our daughter safe while encouraging her to try new activities and acquire new skills. She taught our daughter to clean up after herself, which meant we got to spend less time cleaning up after her. She takes a lot of initiative -- She once found an RIE class and told me about it so that I could sign her up and she could learn more about this approach to child development. She cultivated a play group for our toddler by forging relationships with other nannies and setting up many play dates, which fostered her social development. Our daughter was typically ahead of all her developmental milestones, and to this day, is very verbally advanced for her age, and we believe that Monica, who spent more of our daughter's waking hours with her than we as parents did, played a pivotal role. She talked to her constantly, sang lots of songs to her, and read many books with her. She was constantly looking after her brain development, and the proof is in the pudding. She was also undaunted when our daughter presented big challenges such as bottle refusal. We were very sad to part ways with her when our daughter went to preschool and we no longer needed a full-time nanny, and believe any family that hired her would find her to be a huge asset.
