About Monica

Hello! My name is Monica and I cannot wait to get to know you and your family. A little bit about me, I am a dancer, an artist, a yogi, a teacher, and an animal lover. I love being in nature, going on hikes, and having movie nights at home cuddling with my two cats. I have been working with children for 7 years, from nannying to teaching and tutoring. I not only have my M. A in Teaching Reading, a multiple subject credential, and a bilingual credential in Spanish but also have had 2 years teaching for SFUSD as a kindergarten and 1st-grade Spanish immersion teacher. I have taught dance to kids, ages 16month to 17 years for 7 years, and am currently getting a credential in being a yoga teacher for adults and children. I love dancing, painting, spending time outside exploring, and creating hands-on activities for specific child developmental needs. I am reading interventionally trained and can help teach your child how to read, Spanish, and social-emotional tools to help regulate emotions
