About Monica

Hello! My name is Monica and I am a dance teacher, color guard instructor and adjudicator, and paraprofessional (including adaptive services!). I hold a bachelors degree in communication, a masters in family communication, and part of a second masters in school counseling. I've spent my career in the public school setting since 1997 in some form (coach, parapro, substitute, dance teacher, etc). I run my own color guard education business, as well as teaching dance in multiple studios. I specialize in English (ELA), dance, and personal fitness training for the body. Additionally, part of my undergraduate studies was the honors calculus program at Wayne State (via selective application process!) so I can also focus on high school math concepts through Algebra 2. I am CPR/AED certified, and Covid vaccinated.
