I gained most of my 10+ years of childcare experience working exclusively as a Nanny, Babysitter, Tutor, Reading Specialist, Museum Educator, SPED Teacher, RBT, and STEM Activity Specialist. These opportunities bestowed much of the knowledge I have today. I have a B. S. and a Certificate in Crisis Prevention and Intervention. Finally, I completed two teaching fellowships, including one with Teachers College at Columbia University and an Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Education/Teaching Students with Disabilities (Dual Certification) As a childcare professional, I love working with 2E children and children with other special needs (ASD) and/or learning disabilities. I have extensive experience with infants and stellar references. I am committed to seeking opportunities to invest in my professional and educational development. We hired Monae to watch our son while we attended a local wedding. Monae was punctual and came prepared with lots of activities. She followed instructions really well and we felt confident leaving our child in her care. She was very engaging with him. Most importantly, our son loved Monae and had a ton of fun. He wanted to leave the wedding ASAP so he could go back to hang out with Monae. In his words, she was "epic". Would highly recommend!
