I just moved to NYC from Boston to start a job as a full time professor at Barnard College! I have a bachelor's degree in opera performance and I have two master's degrees; one in French studies from NYU and the other in Cognitive Science from Ecole Normale Superieure in Paris. In fulfillment of the master's in cognitive science I specialized in child development, more specifically first language acquisition in bilingual and monolingual children. My last year in France, I worked in a child development lab 'babylab' where I ran a study that sought to understand how infants between 4 months and 8 months of age develop body awareness. I have a phd from Umass Boston in brain and developmental sciences (developmental psychology) where I studied visual working memory in infants.
