About Mitzi

Experience: 10 yrs

Hi, I adore babies and older children. I enjoy teaching children to read. Learning to read can be fun for babies, because I can make them feel like it is a game! I taught my oldest child to read by 12 months old, & then I taught my 2nd oldest child to read by the age of 9 months old, because by the time our second child was born, I learned how easy it was to teach babies to read. Both of our older children were accepted into the Academically Gifted Program, even though one has ADD, & the other one was recently accepted into the Highly Academically Gifted Program. I rarely get sick because I wash my hands a lot, etc. My husband has a bad back, so he watches our children while I am at work. Also our older children help him with our younger children when I work. I love to read, play games and do crafts with children.

We hired Mitzi as a nanny and mom helper when our child just turned two and she's been working for us for over 2.5 years now. She is an amazing caregiver - punctual, honest, attentive, kind, thoughtful and one of the nicest persons I've ever known. She looks after our son like he's her own child and is like a second mother to him. She takes a keen interest in my son's well-being and development- she taught him phonics and to read way before the school began to teach him; she invents songs and games to play with him and has never been unkind or lost her temper with him. As any parent would know, handing your child over to someone else's care is extremely stressful but under Mitzi's care, our son has thrived. She's like family now. Her day with us typically involves picking up our child from school, feeding him lunch, running errands, helping with household chores, cleaning, taking our son to the park/library/swim classes and sometimes feeding him dinner. I cannot recommend her enough.
