I'd describe my personality as cheerful, friendly, thoughtful. I like caring for seniors because I enjoy being part of helping them continue living their best lives in safety, peace, and dignity in their own homes. I enjoy hearing their stories and brightening their day. I started caring for seniors when I was 16, in 1996. I worked for several elderly couples as a personal caregiver during my last couple years of high school, and then I went to LPN training and worked as a floor nurse in a nursing home for 2 1/2 years. I have more recently done in-home care the past five years for my aging mother and for elderly people in my church. In my spare time, I like to volunteer, garden, cook, read classic novels (Jane Austen, Agatha Christie, etc), visit historical sites, and read aloud and do crafts with my children.
