Hi there! I am a K-2 special education teacher at a school in CPS. I am a low-incidence special education teacher and therefore have lots of experience with children who have severe and profound special needs. I have worked as a special education teacher for 2 years, and love working with children of all different abilities. I think our diverse learners are the most down to earth kiddos out there, and I love how much they teach me about myself and the world everyday. I love to work with students on their communication skills and daily living skills so that they can learn to become more independent and advocate for themselves. Since I have 13 little kiddos of my own during the school year, I am only available to help out during the months that CPS is out of school. I also understand the challenges that come with having a child with special needs and the need for clear and consistent communication between caregivers and parents.
