I began early caring for special needs. As a child (age 7-10), I would look after my down syndrome uncle during Summer vacations. I worked as a student aide in special education classes in school from 5th grade-high school. I have babysat kids with autism, learning and mental disabilities, and physical disabilities. I do not have any college education or certifications for this type of work, but plenty of experience, wisdom and willingness to learn more!!
