About Minka
Experience: 10 yrs
I have 12 years experience as a toddler teacher and 11 years as a nanny. I have experience with children ranging from birth to preschool age. I am First Aid, CPR and CDA-certified and have completed many hours of training in early child care education. I love working with young children, and I am happy to provide good care for them. I like playing with the children and doing interactive activities with them, including singing, reading stories, and doing arts and crafts. In my free time I like hiking, cooking, and reading. I'm looking for a full-time job, and I have great recommendations from families I provide care for. My own family consists of my husband and my two grown daughters, aged 27 and 24 years.

Over the past two years, on a full-time basis, Minka has been a blessing to our family. Most importantly, my sons absolutely love her. They miss her when she is not here and they are excited when she arrives each day. Minka takes them to the library, playgrounds, everywhere. My 2 year old is so used to getting out each day he brings me his shoes on Saturday morning and says playground. Each afternoon is a nap for him and Monopoly, checkers, Trouble, Sorry, Uno, Skip Bo, Chutes and Ladders, Connect Four,you name it and he wants to play it, for my five year old. Minka reads and sings to them all day long. She keeps them well fed and happy and I hear all about the fun they had each day when I get home from work. I have gotten calls from friends, neighbors and Sunday school teachers telling me what a great job Minka is doing when they see her and my kids out and about town. Engaged is the word I hear most often.
