About Mimi

As an English and Wildlife Conservation Education double major, teaching others is a central part of my studies at school! I am a writing tutor for my college peers employed officially by the college through a rigorous training course. I am also working as a teachers assistant in an elementary school in New London, CT, where I attend college. In addition to working directly with 3rd graders on reading comprehension, science, math and geography, I am pioneering my capstone project: developing and implementing curriculum on conservation and wildlife sciences in the classroom I work in. In Milwaukee, I volunteer as a touch tank attendant at Discovery World, where I answer questions about our lovely collection of marine and freshwater wildlife.
