About Miles

Hello! My name is Miles (they/them), and I have over 3 years of experience as an Associate Teacher at the Berkeley Carroll School, working with children aged 6-10. I specialize in providing tutoring and support for children in this age range and have led a phonics-centered curriculum called Fundations. In addition to my teaching experience, I have spent 2 years as the Head Counselor at the Berkeley Carroll Summer Camp. I've also worked at Piper Theater Camp and Brooklyn Heights Montessori Camp. My background in theater, comedy, and improv makes me quick on my feet and adept at engaging children in fun and educational activities. My number one priority is the physical and mental well-being of the children I care for. I find great joy in teaching kids new things and hope to continue doing so outside of the classroom. I aim to create a positive atmosphere where children can thrive and feel safe. I am happy to provide personal and professional recommendations upon request.
