About Mikayla

My journey in childcare stems from my desire to make a positive difference in the lives of children and support families in need of reliable care. I believe in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive and learn. With three years of experience, I've gained expertise in caring for children of all ages. I communicate openly and effectively with parents using their preferred communication method. I enjoy playing a variety of games with children, including outdoor sports, board games, and educational games that promote learning. My skills include cooking, meal preparation, carpooling, light housekeeping, travel, and swimming supervision. I'm also certified in First Aid and CPR. I have worked in Children's Residential as a Supervisor where I took care of children with disabilities as well as the home. I also have my Residential Medication Aide Certification if medication is needed! I worked in a restaurant for 3 years so I know how to cook!
