About Mikayla

Hello! Thank you for considering me as a potential caregiver for your household! I started working with kids when I was about 13; for a few years I babysat our next door neighbor's toddlers. Many years passed during which I completed high school and a Bachelor's Degree in my home state of Ohio. I didn't truly realize I enjoyed working with kids until I took a job guiding horseback rides in the Sierra Mountains of Northern California during The Covid Years. Facilitating such an experience for young ones was the most rewarding aspect of the job and inspired me to pursue the position of Summer Camp Director for Cultivate Climbing in 2024, which I plan to reprise in 2025. In my spare time, I like to make a good go of my reading list, write poetry, rock climb, trail run, work on yard projects, and keep in touch with friends and family :) I would love to find a job that allows me to teach and be taught, have some fun, and be of service to my community.
